SIREN

The Social Interventions Research and Evaluation Network (SIREN) was established to conduct, catalyze, and disseminate high-quality research that advances healthcare sector strategies to improve patients’ social conditions. SIREN conducts and supports research on the healthcare sector’s social care strategies. A parallel branch of the team’s work focuses on disseminating social care research to support evidence-based decision-making by practitioners, policymakers, and other change makers.

“LPSFF astutely prioritizes the health of children, their families, and their communities. The team’s deep recognition that context matters has contributed to a sea change in health care – enabling practice and policy that weaves together physical, mental, and social health strategies.”

—Laura Gottlieb, Founding Co-Director, Social Interventions Research and Evaluation Network (SIREN) at UCSF
